2 Months Old

Age - 2 months old

Weight - 11 lbs. 15 oz.

Height - 22 1/2 in.

Sleeping habits - We start our bed time routine around 6:15-6:3o ish. After a bath and feeding Lila, we read three books. She is usually pretty sleepy! She will either sleep until 4:30-5:00 a.m. or will wake up once, around 1:00-2:30, then sleep until about 6:00 a.m. We don't have a nap routine during the day, however she cat naps on and off. She is also very active in her sleep... never staying in the same place. She turns and scoots around her crib as well as puts her feet in the air and kicks them around - it's really cute to watch and I wonder how she stays asleep. Her doctor says she has really great muscle tone.
Eating habits - She eats every 3-4 hours during the day.

Favorite activity - Taking a bath!

Cutest Moment of the Month - Lila talking to us! She loves to babble and giggle! She also tends to giggle and have a huge smile on her face when she gets up in the morning... after fussing to alert us she's ready, she really happy to see us... so I think!

Milestones - Sleeping though the night is huge... She is also interacting with us more and loves doing "tummy time" which is making her head and neck so strong!

Today Meghan, Amelia, and Nancy came over for lunch. We had a great time chatting and eating. Lila worked a lot on eating her fist! :)

My First Bachelorette Party

Last weekend we packed up the car and headed to Lake Geneva for night 1 of Auntie Tina's Bachelorette Party. I knew traveling with a baby would require a lot of stuff, however, I didn't realize the we would fill up the trunk for 1 night away from home! In our defense, the cooler and beer took up a fair amount of trunk real estate. We stayed at the Cove in Lake Geneva and had a fabulous room. Lila and I slept in the loft with Auntie Libby. Lila had her own pack and play that I was able to put together by myself... a huge feat (I thought it would be way more challenging). We shopped around, ate cool restaurants, and had some great family bonding time with the Kuhr sisters, mom, & Mary B. Lila even slept from 10:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m.! A successful night for all. We left Saturday afternoon, when the real party started. I was glad we got to partake in the bachelorette festivities!!!

My First Play Date

Today I had my first play date with my BFF Amelia (born April 30) and Andrew (mommy's friend from grad school Zoe's son - born April 6th). We were all well behaved and I shared my lamb swing (we all took turns). Sometimes I was fussy, and so were Amelia and Andrew, but luckily not all at the same time! After the mommies ate lunch, we all got to eat lunch too! It was a fun play date!
